Desert Tour from Marrakech Fes Marrakech 8 days

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

Arrival in Marrakech. Free day to make contact with the place: One of the four imperial cities of Morocco.
Famous for having numerous monuments recognized as a World Heritage Site, with its famous Jemaa el Fna. You can go different and characteristic neighborhoods, modern city Gueliz Hivernage, Palmeraie, Mellah (the Jewish quarter) … or carried away through the winding streets of the Medina, to Jmaa el Fna Square, the scene of countless Outdoor activities: jugglers, musicians, fakirs, snake charmers, jugglers … to wake all your senses with its multiple sounds, aromas, flavors and colors that characterize it.

Day 2: Marrakech – Dades Gorges

After breakfast we address Marrakesh Dades Gorges. On the way we cross the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka, wading through numerous nomadic Berber people who inhabit the area. Spectacular scenery that will take us to the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, famous as the scene of more than twenty films as “Babel”. Continue to Ouarzazate via crossing the valley of roses, to get into the Dades gorges, where the “road of the thousand kasbahs” begins. Dades Valley Accommodation and dinner at the hotel.

Day 3: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorge – Merzouga

Breakfast at the hotel. We headed to the Gorges of Todra
where you can take a leisurely stroll through its imposing canyon walls over 200 meters to the exit to the desert through the palm grove of Tafilalet. Check in the hotel on foot of dunes, where you can walk the fine sand of the Erg Chebbi, relax and enjoy this breathtaking scenery.
At night, you will savor a delicious Moroccan dish. Accommodation in the hotel room.

Day 4: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi Turn Around – Merzouga

After a hearty Moroccan breakfast, we’ll begin our 4×4 to the back of the dunes around Erg Chebbi, region populated desert sand: Among the many stops that await you will discover how and where nomadic families in the area live, wild oasis in the middle of nowhere, spectacular scenery and small desert towns, palm … Inevitable stop on our way through the town of Khamelia of people originating in Mali, which will make us enjoy a nice concert of Gnawa music, while we savored a delicious tea.
Back at the hotel we expect from our camels for a half hour route, wading through dunes to the heart of the desert to watch the beautiful sunset. Tucked behind the Great Dune, and enjoying the music of drums, Moroccan dinner and tea, you can see the vast sky of stars and sleep in nomadic tents.

Day 5: Merzouga – Rissani – Ziz Valley – Middle Atlas, Fes

We wake up early in the morning to contemplate another great show in the dunes of the Moroccan Sahara: the spectacular sunrise. Again will board your camels to make you another route back to the hotel. Breakfast and shower, and we proceeded to Rissani. Where walk through what is known as the South of the country, where trade with all kinds of crafts, food and animals the largest authentic and traditional souks of Morocco and. We continue to Erfoud via the ancient gate to the desert, famous for work on fossil city, crossing the impressive Ziz Valley, with more than 18,000 palm trees, reaching Midelt.
Stop for lunch and continue the road to Fez via Ifrane (aka Moroccan Switzerland for the aesthetics of their buildings) Arrive in Fez, and transfer to hotel.

Day 6: Fes – Fes

Free day to explore the city Fez Another 4 Imperial cities. Morocco is considered as the religious and cultural center of the country. Its famous for the study of Arabic and Islam, college is a crossing point of many Moroccan students. You will have time to stroll and meet its various districts, the new area or Fès el-Jdid, where you will find the Mellah (Jewish Quarter), the Ville Nouvelle (Villa Nueva) French zone in the northwest of the city and of course, the Fez -Bali, the old town, inside the walls. Ye may walk around the streets and you feel transported to past worlds in which potters, smiths, artisans and donkeys laden with goods from diverse backgrounds coexist with tourists transiting its labyrinthine streets. Also famous for its souk tanners, you will be able to partake of the artisan procedure medieval roots, by which to get those colorful leather.

Day 7: Fez – Marrakech

After breakfast, we address Marrakech, crossing the numerous valleys that constitute the middle Atlas: Ifrane, Azrou, Khénifra, Beni Mellal … Arrive in Marrakech. Transfer to your riad, and free time to continue discovering the corners of the city.

Day 8: Marrakech – Airport

Transfer to the airport for your departure flight (should be the last day of your trip.
